We're ready for the Fourth of July weekend coming up, and there are quite a few things special this weekend. Saturday evening our friends at Crane Creek Vineyards are having a free concert featuring Bulletproof, a trio highlighting classic rock, country, and even party dance music. Bring a picnic and blanket, enjoy wine by the glass or bottle, and enjoy the music from 7:00 to 11:00 PM.

The Hiawassee Boat Parade on Lake Chatuge begins on July 4 at 11:00 and ends in the early afternoon at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Always an enjoyable procession.

Fireworks at the Fairgrounds about 9:30 PM on the Fourth. It promises to be a great show. We usually watch from our inn.

Coming up later in July is the Georgia Mountain Fair from July 20 through July 30. Great arts and crafts, food vendors and a different country music performer every day.

The Third Annual Georgia Appalachian Pottery Festival is being held in Hiawassee on July 23.

And also enjoy the Licklog Players' performance of "South Pacific" July 28-31 at the Peacock Playhouse in nearby Hayesville, NC.
We hope to see you soon.
